Physicists May Have Just Figured Out Why Time Really Moves Forward, Not Backwards

The professor, Joan Vaccaro from the Griffith University proposed an idea that why there is a variation between past and future. She evaluated that the principles of physics don’t differentiate between space and time. But as we don’t face time in the same way as space, something must make time different.









Her study is published in the “Proceedings of TheRoyal Society A”. She put forward that some quantum phenomenon don’t act alike, if we move forward or backward in time, and this let us to acknowledge the “asymmetry” or one-way course of time. She told that the specific subatomic particles, K and B mesons could provide us with useful information. Vaccaro said

“If you want to know from where the universe initiated and where it’s heading, you have to know about time. Research on subatomic particles demonstrates that nature doesn’t treat both directions of time correspondingly. K and B mesons act contrarily, depending on the direction of time.”

If we leave a glass of water on table, we would be expecting it to stay there, but if it started flickering in and out of existence, it will definitely look bizarre. The flickering of glass is not because it’d be violating the law of conservation of mass but the space and time should allowed it to do so.
She told “In the relation between space and time, space is at ease to comprehend, because it is simply there. 

But the time is always shoveling us towards the future. Certainly, we are moving forward in time, but there should be some backward movements. By using these K and B mesons, I want to evaluate these backward movements.”

Professor Vaccaro reassessed the equations of quantum mechanics in such a way that the conservation of mass was not a given condition in the universe. And she scrutinized that the time and space behave alike in that situation. And when disruptions of symmetries are allowed, the equations then described that our universe and the laws of conservation of mass gradually results from this theory.

She said “Understanding how time changes in this way can herald new concepts about the nature of time. It may provide us with better understanding about the strange perceptions such as travelling back in time.”

  2. Time is a function of space. Shrink space, backward time. Growth in space is future

  3. Don't recall Einstein "disproving" a universal background clock. He just simply really didn't think there was one. Of course he also thought quantum entanglement couldn't exist and that a cosmological constant was a mistake, among other oopsies. Einstein was great, but he most certainly has been wrong about some things.
