This 1-minute animation will change your perception of life in the universe

As of today, astronomers have spotted over 1,700 extra-solar planets, or exoplanets, with NASA's Kepler Space Telescopeins class="adsbygoogle" data-ad-client="ca-pub-9688449139706569" data-ad-slot="4168087534" style="display: inline-block; height: 250px; width: 300px;">
While it's quite hard to picture so many planets, Ethan Kruse, a second-year astronomy graduate student at the University of Washington, has found a way that is both hypnotic and oddly awesome. Check out his video below, where every circle you see is a planet. (Our solar system is on the far right.)
