Time Travel Could Become Reality Sooner Than You Think

According to scientists photons can travel through time. They already have simulated directing quantum light particles to the past for the first time in the history. University of Queensland scientists learned that a simulation of two wormhole-travelling photons might interrelate; signifying hopping through time is conceivable at smallest scales. Their study might help to comprehend how time-travel could be conceivable in the quantum realm.  PhD student Martin Ringbauer spoke to The Speaker:  “For the first, ‘photon one’ would travel through a wormhole into the past and interact with its older version. In the second, ‘photon two’ travels through normal space-time but interacts with a photon that is stuck in a time-travelling loop through a wormhole, known as a closed timelike curve (CTC).”
Image shows Space-time arrangement as closed paths in space (horizontal) and time (vertical). A quantum particle voyages through a wormhole back in time and returns to the identical place in space and time. Image credit: Martin Ringbauer

Tim Ralph, UQ Physics Professor, said: “We used single photons to do this, but the time-travel was simulated by using a second photon to play the part of the past incarnation of the time travelling photon.”

  1. I would love to study this professionally.

  2. I wish them luck but according to those simulations, we are closer to dragons and fantasy than to real time travels.

  3. I do not understand it, to complicated for me !!!

  4. this is not possible by any means . and by any religion . manipulating time means according to most religion , there is heaven and hell after earth . Suppose if the world ends and you have time travel to past , are you cheating death. You cannot cheat god and his angels or judgement day ! simple as that.

    1. You are cheating yourself, thinking about all that stuff ;-)

    2. Thought sure that the Bible (not sure about other religious doctrines?) says that the Truth about these things are beyone our comprehension; that God, existence, and the kind of love embodied by Jesus Christ are to be beyond our own understanding. Limiting God to human or even Earthly perameters is spirit-limiting. Zoom out and see the beautiful bigger picture!

    4. Religion has no place in a science discussion.

  5. Science and religion have nothing to do with each other. Leave your false gods out of scientific research. This article presents little evidence but displays some ideas about future scientific endeavors. As a psychologist I highly recommend that people view the birth of religions, the millions of lives lost due to lack of belief, and the effects of religions on history. Knowledge is power and anyone working in a scientific field knows better than to bring religion into any research and there are good reasons for it. We can walk through this world nieve needing something to believe in or we can see the world for what it really is, your choice!

    1. And yet, in the end, darwin renounced his own theories in favor for belief in a higher power, belief that our world is too complicated, too diverse to have happened by chance. As they say "for there to be art, there must first be an artist"

    2. Nope. Study your history.

    4. "Darwin renounced his own theories in favor for belief in a higher power", more typical BS from willfully ignorant religious nutcase.
Invent a claim, then repeat ad nauseam, until you believe it.

  7. What a nonsense? Traveling in time is't possible and if it was then we would need time traveles from the future . but where they are?

    2. If, in the future, someone comes up with a way to travel through time, there'd be many reasons why we've never met them; starting with the possibility that we're just not that interesting to them.

    3. One the most important rules of time travellers is not being obvious they can not travel to past and shout:

Hey!!!!!!!!!!! we are time travellers!!! for obvius reasons they would be in danger

  8. The most ignorant thing to ever believe is the Big Bang theory...that in one second out of nowhere everything was scientifically created by a huge explosion.Ask yourself this question..if you are so against religion and its laws, why do you go to religious funerals and celebrate public holidays with your family.

    1. Not 'out of nowhere', out of one single point which would be a very specific somewhere. I don't buy into religion but if a god wanted to create a universe why wouldn't it expand from a single point outwards?

    2. You don't have to be "against religion" to believe in science. You just have to be against religious *dogma.*

    3. Because culture and religion have been related for millenium doesn't mean that is not evolving. The number of people going to so called religious events without any thought about religion itself but more about culture is countless.
Having funerals doesn't mean it is related to religion, belief, respect for someone on top of that is something personal. After all there is life after death, anyone would decay into ashes or organic matter and be part of other life cycles no need for religious point of view to be sure about it.

  9. Been trying to explain this for years. Time does not exsist, it is a synthetic fabrication. What we see as time are events taking place in frames, think of an old negative of film, with multiple frames, each takin in less than a millisecond from the last, the vertical tunnel in the picture depicts the jump from frame to frame, achieving "time travel".

And to the person saying the big bang theory is idiotic or whatever. You sir, are a moron. No one will ever know, but upon discovery of the Higgs Boson, there is little doubt in my mind that a big bang wasn't theoretically and completely possible.

  10. For mr religion. ..just on the one god religions alone a minium of 50 million people have been murdered. The lose of culture. The brutaul murder of over 100,000 witches/healers and the lost cures.

    1. Shut up. Most world dictators and those who killed MILLIONS of people were hateful agnostics and athiests. Stop blaming religion for 50 million deaths, and think about the millions of people murdered by known athiests. Hitler (17 million), Leopold II (15 million), Mao Zedong (78 million), Joseph Stalin (23 million), Kahn (shamanistic)(40 million) and many more. Stop blaming religion and start blaming man. Man is flawed. Not God. Science is mans attempt to explain God, and what He is. All of you blowhards are beating up on people for their beliefs and calling them morons, but it is the same, if not more moronic, to believe everything happened by chance, that ALL of life sprang from one cell. Get over yourself.

    2. Science is NOT man's attempt to explain God. Science is man's attempt to study and find evidence on why things happen. Since God is faith based, he can't be proven by science, only disproven, potentially

  12. If the bible is real than "god & angels" are going to be using some type of time warping etc etc. And they'll be traveling from other dimensions! If the bible is real....but the fact is we was created to EVOLVE! but most people are dumb downed...we dont even know what we here for.....its definitely not this bs man made crap!

  14. It is possible to slow down time if you are traveling through space. This has been proven both mathematically as well as physically using a chronometer. Educate yourself people, then comment carefully. go to einstein-online.info/spotlights/Twins

  15. I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever before. https://www.luckies.co.uk/gifts/travel/

  16. Let this information reach every student, professor & researcher of physical sciences of every university & research institution. The issue concerning the change of education system from atheistic physical sciences to theistic physical sciences is being taken up with Governments all over the world and to start with the issue has been taken up in India. Please read it at https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/adopted-paradigm-physics-incorrect-shafiq-khan?trk=prof-post and this scientific perspective is confirmed by a scientist of MIT which you could see at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQVm8RokoBA.
