We all know the Universe is huge. But just how vast is it actually? And how could we ever measure something as brief as the cosmos? This new video by the ever-popular Minute Physics takes a shot at these subjects, and not astonishingly, the answers are not as direct as we might hope.
As Minute Physics acceptably points out, we first need to find out what it is, precisely, that we're trying to measure. Given that we're miserably stuck in our Hubble Bubble, we can only see as far as the light getting to us permits. This gives us the impression that we're at the midpoint of the Universe, but that can't possibly be right. So does anything lie outside the observable Universe? And if so, for how long? Infinity?
Watch the video to see how Minute Physics grips the puzzle.
